REVIEW – Deadly Caller (Detective Jane Phillips) by OMJ Ryan

    November 21, 2021 /

Deadly Caller is yet another novel by OMJ Ryan that never fails to get the gears moving. There’s only one thing you should do when seeing this in bookstores – THAT IS INSTANT BUY. It won’t be a shock to find out that Ryan’s skill impressed me from Jane Phillip’s first outing. He instigated my love of police procedurals and has only made that love grow stronger. The author has used the technology of a pandemic world and made it deadlier! A murder was witnessed over a zoom meeting. I’ve come to expect the unexpected from Ryan, but this is another stellar outing for Phillips and her team! “There is…

Deadly Betrayal by OMJ Ryan | Book Review

    March 21, 2021 /

OMJ Ryan proves that a series can only get better with every installment.  Deadly Betrayal was his most addictive outing so far.  Travelling these pages is akin to walking along a tightrope.  The fab four are back, they are more human than ever, with the fragility of the human condition pulsing at the forefront, demanding attention.  Ryan tore up the rulebook and catapulted his readers into the deep underbelly of Hong Kong and how the two countries intermingle in a frenzy before a finale that is likely to have you on edge.  The DI Jane Phillips series always feels like a homecoming, its became my favourite crime series by far.…

Blog Tour: Deadly Waters by OMJ Ryan

    March 18, 2020 /

Deadly Waters was another home run for OMJ Ryan and the Detective Jane Phillips series.  I had serious cover love the first time I laid eyes on its opening.  It was ominous, it was secretive, and it forewarned of the threatening shadows that lurked beneath the surface.  It’s the kind of story that will become etched into your mind and you can’t put the book down until that last page has been devoured.  OMJ Ryan is a master storyteller that envelops you in atmospheric brilliance and a complexity that will literally tie you up in knots.  His brilliance is his readers weakness and Deadly Waters did not disappoint.  If I…

Blog Tour: Deadly Silence (Jane Phillips #1) By OMJ Ryan

    October 28, 2019 /

Thanks to Emma and Inkubator Books for my copy of the book and my spot on the blog tour.  All thoughts are my own.  I am delighted to share my review as part of the blog tour today.  TRIGGER WARNING: Sexual Abuse This is the first book in a brand-new police procedural to sink your teeth into.  It’s got everything that you need in your next page turner. It was with great excitement when I finally got around to reading this absolutely explosive start to what I assume to be a very successful series.  I am completely in love with D.I Jane Phillip’s character.  She portrayed the strong female character,…
