Blog Tour: Who Did You Tell? by Lesley Kara
Thanks to Anne Cater@ Random Things Book Tours and the publisher for my spot on the blog tour. All thoughts are my own. What would you do if being an alcoholic was the only thing you knew? It provided sanctuary from a cruel and uncaring world. It was your safe place. You could crawl into yourself when it all became too much. It gave you confidence, and it brushed away your tears. How on earth could you navigate the unchartered waters of becoming sober, recalling lost memories and engaging with your problems in a healthy and conducive manner? How easy would it be to slip back into old habits? You…

Review: White Rose by Kip Wilson
I am a huge fan of Historical Fiction. This refreshing take on Young Adult Historical Fiction was just sublime. It was such a beautiful take on prose and I enjoyed it immensely. It is a novel written in verse and let me be honest I haven’t ever really connected with a novel being written in this format. Kip Wilson however, nails the craft and had me hungering for more…I inhaled this book in a mere afternoon. The writing style just blew my mind. This author now has a firm fan in me and I just hope that their other books have a similar effect because they are getting added to…

Review: The Crown Agent by Stephen O’Rourke
I bring to you on the blog today an awesome little Scottish treat. We have The Crown Agent a serious gem in the Historical Fiction genre. I was extremely impressed with this novel. The world building and the stylistic invigorance that I was submerged in was so fascinating. I absolutely love the history of this wee country and its realism was outstanding. From the clothing, to the descriptions within Edinburgh, the trading ports…it was all so perfect. The author didn’t hold back, and he had me hook, line and sinker. I was ready to be transported back in time, back to a time with no internet, no distractions but a…

Blog Tour: Violet by SJI Holliday
Many thanks to Anne Cater @Random Things Tours and Orenda Books for my spot on the blog tour and a copy of the book. My review is unbiased and completely honest. Violet, Violet Violet. This girl projects are real problem. Can the worst parts of us hide in plain sight? We can deal with most situations and conform and fit in the box when we need to but how many people are watching our small nuisances, those little tells that give off the impression that something isn’t as it seems. We try hard to hide our inner psycho, what happens when that just isn’t enough anymore? SJI Holliday puts the…

Blog Tour: Hearthstone Cottage by Frazer Lee
Thanks to Anne Cater @Things through my letter box tours and Flame Tree Press for my spot on the blog tour and a copy of the book. All thoughts are unbiased and my own. Hearthstone Cottage just made me crazy – in a completely amazing way. I seriously wish I had a brain that was as capable of such genius. I mainly stick to thrillers or fantasy but when I do pick up a good Horror, I usually become so immersed in the world I usually question why I don’t read more. This is one of these times. Book hangover central over here! Flame Tree Press have released some of…

Blog Tour: Bad Seed by Jessica Eames
Thanks to Tracey at Compulsive Readers and the publisher for my spot on the blog tour and a copy of the book. My review is unbiased and honest. Today I bring to you my review of Bad Seed by Jessica Eames. When I received the invitation from Tracey, I just couldn’t say no. The plotline of family betrayal is one I love, and this twisty and complex story compelled me from page one and endlessly turning each page until the wee hours. This is Jessica Eames debut novel and let me tell you…she has a new fan in me. I will from this moment on read anything this woman pens. …
