One Good Lie by Jane Isaac | Blog Tour Review
When this book landed on my kindle I just had that deep instinctual knowledge that this was going to be my kind of book. The relationship between siblings is a deep and complicated one. We have this passed down expectation that we should be close with them but don’t look away too quickly because sibling rivalry will soon be skipping down the corridors of the mind. The blurb had me searching for clues, is there something hidden in plain sight? Is a shadow creeping at the very edge of your vision? This stand-alone thriller was everything I needed at precisely the right time. One Good Lie had a strong opening…

The Nurse by J.A. Corrigan | Blog Tour Review
J.A. Corrigan is just one of those authors that just command your attention. The Nurse is a testament to her skill. Immediately upon putting it down I knew it had a compulsive energy to it. Think Nurse Ratchet vs Silence of the Lambs. Her characterisation is a crescendo to the senses. The validity, the moral dilemmas and the utter humanness leaves you in awe with the realism. My introduction to this author’s work has left me salivating for more and I can’t wait to try more of her delights. The Nurse is a book that I fell for because of the blurb! The cover stopped me in my tracks, but…

Her Last Holiday by C.L. Taylor | Book Review
Her Last Holiday was a book I was so excited to read. I have read a few C.L. Taylor books prior to this and I have always found her writing engaging and addictive but there was something missing from this outing. I think it stems from the fact that any logical reader must suspend disbelief at an astronomical level. It was a highly imaginative story that ended up just being to much for me to swallow. I love stories that are intriguing with a mystery that allows me to join the dots, if you are like me this probably isn’t the book for you. Her Last Holiday is a story…

Blog Tour: Roses Are Red by Miranda Rijks
We all want to think that money and wealth wouldn’t change the type of character that we would want ourselves to aspire to. Roses Are Red delves into the impact that emotional trauma can run rampant upon a vulnerable individual. Despite kindness and a gentle soul, there will always be someone lurking in the shadows, ready and willing to take advantage of a heart-breaking situation. Miranda Rijks has created a story that made me sick to the stomach and incandescent with rage. She laid the Easter eggs out to find and I put on my sherlock Holmes persona, ready to discover the truth. Inkubator books just hit the nail on…

Review: The Dilemma by B.A. Paris
The Dilemma. To tell someone something that will not only shatter one world, but many. What more could you possibly want in a psychological thriller? My attention was immediately stolen. I was hungering for the words contained in this explosive novel. I particularly enjoyed the element of older characters being in the forefront. There unique take on life, their emotions and their reactions when they are faced with the explosive ramifications that life can throw at you. I was deeply curious to see how the author would weave a highly addictive plot that would have me hooked by the end of the first chapter. I cant applaud B.A. Paris enough…
