We Lie With Death by Devin Madson | Review
You know what they say after a storm? It clears the air, but there was no calm after the storm in We Lie with Death. The world building is once again rich and brutal and I was once again delighted to see characters taking their own paths, accepting the hand that fate had dealt them and becoming all the stronger for it. I only very recently finished reading We Ride the Storm and the first thing I did was request the next book in the series on netgalley, thankfully the book gods granted my request and here I am basking in the glory of the empire of Kisia. I was…

We Ride The Storm by Devin Madson | Book Review.
Jesus Christ on a bike! We Ride the Storm was a novel that was pure adrenaline. Storm Noun a tumultuous reaction; an uproar or controversy. There is no disillusion hidden behind the pretext of name. This book is a storm, and it aims to rile you up, as quickly as possible. This story aims to shake up the fantasy genre and it does that and more. Its an underrated gem that gleams, and the reader can’t help but fall deep for the magnificent prose and authentic worldbuilding. The author doesn’t beat around the bush and she is happy to cut your throat in the first chapter and not even be…

The Hollow Gods by A.J. Vrana | Blog Tour
The Hollow Gods made me feel like I was transported to another dimension. So many things brought the supremely imaginative plot to life. It was the kind of book that you forgot you were actually reading – it felt like an out of body experience. I almost felt like I could feel the wind blowing in my hair and my eyes witnessing the spectacular vistas that the author so expertly inserted me into the bones of the novel. Black Hollow. A place with a dark history. A magical source of unquestionable power. A place that is revered for many a good reason. A place that wouldn’t be out of place…

Blog Tour: The Girl And The Stars by Mark Lawrence
The Girl And The Stars is certainly not Mark Lawrence’s first rodeo. However, It is the most poignant epic fantasy that I have experienced in a long time. The story envelops you like a long lost relative after decades apart…everything about it just feels right. This is the kind of story that leaves you grappling with the fight for cognitive cohesion. How on earth do you get your thoughts down in a review in regard to a book of this magnitude. The narrative took me hostage and posted my ransom. I didn’t want to be found, I wanted to be immersed in this world for the foreseeable future. My kindle only…

Blog Tour: Hearthstone Cottage by Frazer Lee
Thanks to Anne Cater @Things through my letter box tours and Flame Tree Press for my spot on the blog tour and a copy of the book. All thoughts are unbiased and my own. Hearthstone Cottage just made me crazy – in a completely amazing way. I seriously wish I had a brain that was as capable of such genius. I mainly stick to thrillers or fantasy but when I do pick up a good Horror, I usually become so immersed in the world I usually question why I don’t read more. This is one of these times. Book hangover central over here! Flame Tree Press have released some of…

Blog Tour: Slash by Hunter Shea
Thanks to Anne @Random things through my letterbox for my spot on the blog tour and the publisher for my copy of the book. All thoughts are unbiased and honest. Instantly the book cover grabs you by the balls and you can feel the pain and fear that this novel is going to subject you to. Slash examines survival, plain and simple. The idea that lightening couldn’t possibly strike twice is the primary theme. This book is more than happy to pack up its things and move home into other genres. This is a book that goes between Slasher, horror and thriller. It reminded me a lot of the Friday…
