How on earth are we now approaching October? You blink and you’ve missed it. Totally here for all the Halloween vibes, warm jumpers and falling leaves. It’s my favourite season and I’m majorly looking forward to cozying up with a good book this autumn.

Here’s what I’ve read this month-

Degrees Of Guilt by H.S. Chandler

The Good Neighbor by Cathryn Grant

Our Bloody Pearl by D.N. Byrne

What Goes Around by Rachel Ellyn

A Different Time by Micheal K. Hill

Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma

The Puppet Show by M.W. Craven

Other Words For Smoke by Sarah Maria Griffin

A Savage Generation by David Tallerman

Book of The Month

It was really difficult to pick a book this month because I had such a great reading month in terms of the quality of books i was treated to. The above books are going to be tied because they were just that fantastic and I just can’t chose which was my favourite. These two books couldn’t be any different if they tried but, they both pulled such feeling from me. A different Time was such a beautiful story but heartbreaking. I haven’t cried that hard in a long time at a book. The Puppet Show was such a cleverly crafted story with twists and turns and a refreshing take on the thriller genre that is already heavily populated. Both equally refreshing.

DISAPPOINTING BOOK OF THE MONTH

I had really high hopes for this book and although I enjoyed it enough, I expected more depth both to the characters and the story, it just didn’t deliver for me personally. It was an interesting premise to the coming of age genre but there wasn’t enough action so for me it was a bit disapointing.

What did you read this month? did you have any DNFs or disapointing reads? Let me know in the comments.
