Blogtober: The 80’s Movie Book Tag

Ashes Books and Bobs tagged me to do The 80’s Movie Book Tag and it had my brain doing summersaults thinking about the posibilities. I was born in the tailend of the eighties (1987) but I’m a massive fan of 80’s movies – mainly horror and sci-fi. I’m grateful for the tag, please go and follow her, she has amazing content.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

A Book that kept you up all night

I’ve found it really hard to put any of the Game Of Thrones books down but this one is where my love for the franchise began. I read well into the wee hours.

THE PRINCESS BRIDE

A Wonderfully Quotable Book

I loved this book as a child and it is still a firm favourite with many loveable quotes.

You cannot change what you are, only what you do.

FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF

A character that loves breaking the rules.

Begbie doesn’t even believe in rules!

WHEN HARRY MET SALLY

A Book Couple That Took An Eternity To Get Together

A beautiful slow burn of a romance.

BACK TO THE FUTURE

A Book Involving Time Travel

Love through the ages with a touch of war and politics.

PRETTY IN PINK

A Book Character With Unique Style

Aurora knows how to pull of the frozen in time look.

THE KARATE KID

Favourite book featuring training/mentoring trope

LOVE IT!

DIE HARD

A book with a trip that doesn’t go to plan

My favourite read of the summer.

INDIANA JONES & THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK

A book with the main characters name in the title

Amazing

DIRTY DANCING

A Female character that comes out her shell.

I may just need a reread of this in my life.

TOP GUN

A Death that took you by suprise

Still trying to get over this one.

ET

An ending that left you both happy and sad

If you’ve read this Indie novel you will sure know!

  1. So many great choices on your list. Slammed and Outlander are some of my favorites. And the cover of Different Time always catches my eye. I’m going to finally read the blurb now. Thanks for doing this tag – I loved seeing what you came up with.
