Books recently added to my To Be Read list

I’m sure like most of you – your TBR (to be read) list is never ending. At my last check of goodreads I have 6300 on my TBR list, It’s actually ridiculous. So without going on about my lack of self control, let me show you the last 5 books to be added to the exhaustive list.

Sloth (The Elite Seven, #6) By Giana Darling

This is a Romantic suspense series penned by Giana Darling done in the style of the seven deadly sins. The cover just like the other books in the series are amazing and when I read the synopsis. It had me on the first sentence – I just love an alpha that can curse.
I don’t give a fuck.
Not about money or fame, beauty or power. I’ve had all those things since birth, and trust me, they’re a fucking snooze.

Broken Trust (Dark Legacy #2) by Tate James

This is the second book in the Dark Legacy series, and is a dark YA romance. The blurb isn’t available yet but the first book was astounding and I love this cover. It’s expected release date is June 12th 2019.

The Gathering (Ivy Blackwood Chronicles) by L.A Fiore

Just check out absolutely devastating and haunting this cover is. I am a massive fan of this author and cannot wait to read this book. All book bloggers and fans alike that I have spoken to LOVE this book, so I just had to add it. It’s a fantasy novel and with the except starting like this –
Words like unnatural and impure started the whispers. It had me right there!

The Deathless (Deathless #1) by Peter Newman

Another Fantasy book added and I can’t get enough of this author. I read the Vagrant many years a go and it has stayed as a firm favourite.

The demons…

In the endless forests of the Wild, humanity scratches a living by the side of the great Godroads, paths of crystal that provide safe passage and hold back the infernal tide. Creatures lurk within the trees, watching, and plucking those who stray too far from safety.

The Deathless…

In crystal castles held aloft on magical currents, seven timeless royal families reign, protecting humanity from the spread of the Wild and its demons. Born and reborn into flawless bodies, the Deathless are as immortal as the precious stones from which they take their names. For generations a fragile balance has held.

And the damned…

House Sapphire, one of the ancient Deathless families, is riven by suspicion and madness. Whole villages are disappearing as the hunting expeditions holding the Wild at bay begin to fail.

Then, when assassins strike, House Sapphire shatters.

Nothing lasts forever.

Gwendy’s Button Box by Stephen King

I’m a massive fan of horror and of the great Stephen King. I had never seen this title before, it’s not new – published in 2017 but I thought hell, I need to read this.

he little town of Castle Rock, Maine has witnessed some strange events and unusual visitors over the years, but there is one story that has never been told… until now.

There are three ways up to Castle View from the town of Castle Rock: Route 117, Pleasant Road, and the Suicide Stairs. Every day in the summer of 1974 twelve-year-old Gwendy Peterson has taken the stairs, which are held by strong (if time-rusted) iron bolts and zig-zag up the cliffside.

At the top of the stairs, Gwendy catches her breath and listens to the shouts of the kids on the playground. From a bit farther away comes the chink of an aluminum bat hitting a baseball as the Senior League kids practice for the Labor Day charity game.

One day, a stranger calls to Gwendy: “Hey, girl. Come on over here for a bit. We ought to palaver, you and me.”

On a bench in the shade sits a man in black jeans, a black coat like for a suit, and a white shirt unbuttoned at the top. On his head is a small neat black hat. The time will come when Gwendy has nightmares about that hat…
